Dog House in Sketch Up
In this project I made a simple dog house using the rectangle tool and the offset tool to make edges around the house and to push the wall in behind the roof a little bit.

My Name Written Animation
For this project I used photoshop to write my name with an animation. I did this by first choosing a font that looked like it was hand written then I slowly erased my name backward and copied each layer. Then I converted the layers to frame animation and it played out like I was writing my name.

Bouncing Ball Following Arcs
In this animation I used the animation principles squash and stretch, ease in ease out and arcs. This was the same as the other bouncing ball GIF I made except in this one is following arcs to make it more realistic. thees principles are used in animation to make it look more realist except in animation these characteristics are exaggerated.

My Personality Type

I think the ISTP personality type describes me very well. I am very interested in the mechanics of how things work, very attentive to detail, I love solving problems and I like to explore the world around me. This helps me understand why I am the way I am and why i do certain things.

I took another personality test that compared your personality to animals a Lion, Otter, Golden Retriever or a Beaver. my top animal was a Lion and my second highest was a Beaver. Lions strengths are that they are goal orientated, strong and direct. Beaver's strength's are that they have high standards, order, and respect. I think these describe me very well but some things don't i think i am a blend between the two.

Animating in Photoshop
What I Learned About Squash and Stretch In Photoshop!
I have never animated before but in this project I learned a basic animation in Photoshop. I made bouncing ball using the basic principle of animation, squash and stretch. The stretch gives the allusion of speed and the squash ads the more realistic effect of bouncing. I also learned how to make an animation Photoshop using layers and frames. I also learned how to use gradients to make objects look 3D.

Could social media affect your chances of getting into collage?
I recently read the article "They loved your GPA, then they saw your Tweets" by Natasha Singer. This article is a study of how collages look at your social media post when considering your application. 381 collages that answered their questionnaire 315 of them said they had visited applicants face book or other social media to learn more about them. 30% of them said they found something that negatively impacted their applicants prospects.
There are many stories of people getting turned down from collage because of social media. Last year, an undergraduate at Pitzer Collage in Claremont Calif., who had befriended a prospect on Facebook notified the administration office because of offensive comments posted about a high school teacher. That student was not admitted.
These numbers surprised me, I didn't think that many collages actually viewed applicants social media. In fact I didn't think they did it at all. For some people this can be a scary thing, think about your post. Do you have anything that could be a red flag to collages?
This article made me stop and think what i put on social media. now that i know this i will try to filter my post and be careful what i put on the internet.

Photoshop Projects
For this project we used the crop tool the horizontal type tool and the opacity setting my biggest challenge was figuring out how to resize the photos to the right size and percent. For this project we used the magic wand tool. my biggest challenge for this was being able to change the color of the selected area and i had problems with it selecting the right areas to color.
For this project we used the text mask and the gradient tool. my biggest was making the gradient because it was verry confuseing to open the window and to use the tool.
For this project we used the clone stamp tool this was probably my biggest challenge because it was so hard to out line the raven and copy and paste it properly it took me at least ten tries and was very confuseing.

Graphic Design
Graphic design is in everything we do, it is in everything we touch and in everything we buy. Graphic Design is more than just cool pictures and logos its the human touch behind what you interact with. It can be used to represent love, hate, sadness, and happiness. Graphic Design has emotion and can bring out the best and the worst in us. Graphic Design is everything
